Can i have gold teeth in the army?
c. Body piercing. When on any Army installation or other places under Army control, soldiers may not attach, affix, or display objects, articles, jewelry, or ornamentation to or through the skin while they are in uniform, in civilian clothes on duty, or in civilian clothes off duty (this includes earrings for male soldiers). The only exception is for female soldiers, as indicated in paragraph 1-14 d , below. (The term %26quot;skin%26quot; is not confined to external skin, but includes the tongue, lips, inside the mouth, and other surfaces of the body not readily visible).
Reply:yes, but not while you are in your uniform, if they were not a permanent dental implant, they will be considered jewelry and you can only where them when you are in your %26quot;civi%26#039;s%26quot;

you should look up the reg in the soldiers hand book
Reply:Yes and no. I have heard of cases where it was denied.
Reply:If it%26#039;s a permanent gold tooth then it will be waivered but you will be made to tarnish or darken it so it will not reflect any light that would give away your position. But if its a cap you will be made to remove it. The only way you would lose the permanent gold tooth is if your going on a special mission were it would effect the mission thus it will get pulled out.
Reply:I would think it would fall under 1-14 pg 9 of AR 670-1.
Reply:eww.... gold teeth are gross, whatever happened to a beautiful white smile?
Reply:Look in your handbook.........
Reply:Your best bet is to ask your command, but I know several people both from when I was in the Marines and now in the Army that have gold teeth.

HOWEVER the military will NOT pay for them. It is elective cosmetic, so they don%26#039;t do gold caps. They will pay for fillings and caps that match your teeth, but not gold.

I also think they restrict the amount to one or two. You couldn%26#039;t do all your teeth. That would be considered %26quot;strange and unusual%26quot; like having your hair dyed bright red, or something similar.
Reply:I really don%26#039;t think so.
Reply:You can have gold teeth while in the military if they are permanent and your if your own teeth have been filed down underneath before the gold teeth are put on. The only thing about that is the military will send you to the dentist very often to make sure that you remain deployable despite your dental work.
